As state cuts push more pressure to the local level, the county must budget carefully, focus on real needs, avoid unnecessary legal fights that waste taxpayer money, and give residents a clearer view of how decisions are made.
If Pottawattamie County is going to grow, we need housing that young people and working families can actually afford. Too often, new development means homes priced far beyond the reach of many residents.
